Use case · Sales & Marketing

From first touch to first meeting — one shared lead pipeline.

Marketing captures leads, SDRs qualify, sales owns. Symphony gives each function its own worksheet — synced only when ready. Every hand-off carries the trail: source, enrichment, qualification, outcome.

The situation today

Leads leak between hand-offs.

Leads arrive from a dozen sources — events, LinkedIn, forms, cold outbound, referrals. Marketing dumps them into a spreadsheet. SDRs pick them up, sometimes months later. Sales complains half the leads are already stale or unqualified. And nobody quite knows which lead came from where or who touched it last.

You've tried a CRM. Adoption is patchy — marketing lives in one tool, sales in another, and the SDR team splits the difference in a spreadsheet nobody trusts. Every hand-off loses context: why was this lead qualified, who enriched it, when did we last engage?

How Symphony fits

A worksheet per function. A pipeline in sync.

Marketing gets a worksheet. SDRs get a worksheet. Sales gets a worksheet. All three live in the same lead pipeline workbook. Each team works privately — enriching, qualifying, prioritizing. When they're ready to hand off, they Submit. The receiving team Refreshes. The lead moves with its full history attached.

01

Per-function worksheets

Marketing, SDRs, and Sales each have their own private worksheet. Everyone edits without stepping on each other's work.

02

Clean hand-offs

Marketing Submits enriched leads. SDRs Refresh, qualify, then Submit to Sales. Each transition preserves the entire history.

03

Source-to-outcome trail

See where a lead came from, how marketing enriched it, why an SDR qualified it, when sales first engaged — all in one auditable chain.

04

No lead left behind

Nothing gets overwritten. Nothing gets lost between teams. Every lead's transaction chain is preserved from source to outcome.

A typical workflow

From source to first meeting.

Marketing sets up the lead pipeline workbook.

One workbook for the whole revenue funnel. Worksheets for Marketing (sources & enrichment), SDR (qualification), and Sales (opportunities). Columns for lead identity, source, stage, notes.

Invite each function to their worksheet.

Each team opens the pipeline in their own Excel. They see their own worksheet as the primary view — plus context from the ones handing off to them.

Marketing enriches leads privately.

Marketing captures new leads from events, forms, and outbound. Enriches with source, campaign, and score. No half-finished data visible to SDRs yet.

Marketing Submits. SDRs Refresh.

When a batch is enriched, Marketing Submits with a reason: "Post-event follow-up, 40 new leads scored ready." SDRs Refresh and see qualified, ready-to-work leads with full context.

SDRs qualify, then Submit to Sales.

SDRs move qualified leads into the Sales worksheet with a note: "Discovery scheduled Thursday. Prospect is renewing their existing contract in Q1." Sales Refreshes and picks up cleanly.

Audit the whole journey.

At quarter-end, review the full journey: source, enrichment, qualification, first meeting, close. Every step timestamped, every reason preserved. Attribution just got a lot easier.
